Encruza was created as a bridge between traditions, cultures, and communities.
Our purpose is to honour and support the Terreiros of Afro-Brazilian spiritual traditions and the people who keep these practices alive, especially within the diaspora in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.
We carefully select our products from trusted suppliers and artisans, valuing quality, craftsmanship, and the hands behind each creation. Every item is chosen with respect for its cultural meaning, history, and the communities connected to these traditions.
Encruza is a space of connection, appreciation, and support for terreiro communities and those seeking to continue their spiritual journeys away from home.

About the founder
Encruza was founded by a Brazilian woman deeply connected to Afro-Brazilian spiritual traditions.
Gabriela Lohn is a Mãe de Santo in Umbanda and an Iyawo initiated into Oxum in Candomblé Ketu, walking her spiritual path with respect, dedication, and guidance from her elders and ancestors.
Based in Aotearoa, New Zealand, she is responsible for Casa de Osun Ipondá e Cabocla Jupira, an Umbanda terreiro in Tauranga, continuing to build a community deeply rooted in tradition, connection, and cultural preservation.
Encruza was born from a real need for reliable and appropriate ritual items, initially for use within her own terreiro, and later to support other practitioners and communities across New Zealand and Australia.
